The national employment rate by age group (20-64) in Republic of Macedonia illustrates an increase from 2005 onwards, and it has achieved 48% of the total active population. This means that from an average of 65-67% employment rate around 48% are in this age group, while the rest of 17-19% belong to other age groups.
The share of renewable gross final energy consumption has increased in the last three years from 11,5% to 16,6%, however in a ten years period it has decreased from 17,9% to 16,6%. This is a result of much faster increase of energy use, rather than production of renewable energies.Republic of Macedonia belongs to the European countries with mid use of renewable energy consumption, and low renewable energy producer.
The tourism overnights in the coutnry are increasing in the last three years, reaching its maximum in 2008, and again slight decrease in 2009 when from 2,2 million overnights in 2008, the next year, 2009 around 2,1 million overnights have been registered. This illustrates that the tourism market has large fluctuations and it is still unstabile, however there is development trend in the sector.
The analysis of the GDP growth per sectors in the last ten years do not show any dramatic changes in the participation of the sectors in creation of the total country GDP. The agriculture is around 12%, industry and mining has a decrease of 6 % in ten years period, while an increase of 6% is registered in the financial sector. In general the financial services and real estate business are the highest growing sector in the creation of total country GDP.
