As part of our continued engagement in the “EU for Prespa” project, implemented by UNDP and funded by the European Union, EPI CENTAR International supported the organisation of a key consultation workshop for the Updated Strategic Action Plan (SAP 2025–2030) for the Prespa Park Area. The event took place on 27 June 2025 in Resen, North Macedonia, and was attended by a broad range of stakeholders from North Macedonia, Greece, and Albania.
The workshop served as a platform for presenting the current draft of the Strategic Action Plan and discussing the written feedback received to date. Participants had the opportunity to engage in constructive dialogue and contribute further insights to strengthen the plan’s content, with a special focus on the future implementation and communication strategies.
The Mayor of Resen Municipality, Mr. Jovan Tozievski, and the Mayor of the Municipality of Prespes in Greece, Mr. Yorgos Stergiou, both underlined the importance of open dialogue, local ownership, and joint commitment for achieving tangible cross-border results. Their remarks were echoed by UNDP Project Manager, Dr. Marijana Milevska, who emphasised the significance of regional cooperation in addressing shared environmental and development challenges in the Prespa region.
The Updated SAP 2025–2030 aims to serve as a practical and action-oriented document, reflecting the common vision for sustainable development across the three Prespa countries. It addresses key priorities such as environmental protection, sustainable agriculture, eco-tourism, and institutional coordination in line with the Prespa Park Agreement.
EPI CENTAR International is proud to contribute to the facilitation of this strategic process and remains committed to supporting inclusive, evidence-based dialogue for the long-term sustainability of the Prespa region.
